The British Standards Institution (BSI) conducted an independent calculation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecasted for 2023 as a result of the Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant Stage 1 launch.

Start-up and commissioning works were completed at the 220 kV Bluzhdaushiy substation with a capacity of 146 megawatts, which is required for power supply to the facilities of the beneficiation and hydrometallurgical plants currently under construction at the Udokan copper deposit.

Udokan Copper (an affiliate of the USM diversified holding, founder and major shareholder - Alisher Usmanov), the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Government of the Trans-Baikal Region and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation signed an agreement of intent to implement the second phase of the Udokan copper deposit development project.

“Udokan Copper”, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Far East Development Corporation signed an agreement of intent to build social infrastructure facilities in the settlement of Novaya Chara of the Kalar Municipal District, Trans-Baikal Territory of Russia.

The modernization of the pilot plant, which was put into operation back in 2006, will advance the Udokan mining and metallurgical plant to the main operational stage.
