Chita Boiling Point to become the manpower training platform for Udokan MMP
General Director of Baikal Mining Company Yury Ryabov said in his speech on December 19, 2018 during the opening of Chita Boiling Point teamwork environment.

Mr. Ryabov reminded that BMC had entered into the partnership with the Boiling Point in Zabaikalye Region nearly right from the start. “This teamwork environment is the approach to labour management our company adheres to,” he stated.

On December 12, 2018 Federal Autonomous Institution “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” awarded a positive state expert review to construction Stage 1 of Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant project.

According to Mr. Ryabov, in 2019 BMC shall proceed to the Plant`s construction stage. “The Project is based on multibillion investment and shall drastically change the social and economic situation in the region,” he pointed out. “Taking into account mining enterprises already operating in the region, a powerful mining cluster is shaping up in the territory and starting to act as the basis for development.”

Currently, there are more than 350 experts involved in the project. “By the start of commissioning works in mid-2019 about 1,500 people shall work on the project, and by the time the Plant achieves the design capacity the manpower shall exceed 2,000 people,” Mr.Ryabov informed.

“The company is generating demand for human resources and is regarding specialists from Zabaikalye Region, in the first place, as a key source of supply,” he highlighted. 19 December 2018
