Substation Chara

Power Supply:

Power supply infrastructure for the Project is secured:
Existing Chara substation (220 kV) satisfies the energy supply demand for the construction period;
Power transmission line (220 kV) covering energy needs for the operation stage is approved in the investment program of FSK UES (Federal Grid Company);
Commissioning of the power transmission line (220 kV) is aligned with the Project schedule.
NOVOSIBIRSKSTROYCOMPLEX-PROJECT JSC is developing design and working documentation for power supply facilities of Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant (Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant 220 kV sub-station and two lines 220 kV Chara - Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant). Pursuant to the contract, the activities are to be completed in May 2018.

Railway station New Chara

Railroad infrastructure:

Novaya Chara railway station (BAM) is in the immediate vicinity of the deposit site;
Russian Railways are working on the capacity increase of Novaya Chara station and construction of additional railway tracks for Udokan cargo handling . The timeline corresponds with the Project schedule;
A railway track (Chineyskaya Rail Line) connects Udokan deposit with Baikal-Amur Mainline

Airport Chara

Airport Chara


Airport:

Federal State Unitary Enterprise “State Design Survey and Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation “Aeroproject” prepared FEED documentation and feasibility study to upgrade the airport complex in Chara settlement.

Novaya Aviatsia JSC is developing design documentation to upgrade the airport complex in Chara settlement. Pursuant to the contract, the activities are to be completed in November 2018.

TOMS Engineering is developing design and estimate documentation for motor way construction “Novaya Chara settlement – Udokan settlement – Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant industrial site”. Pursuant to the contract, the activities are to be completed in H1 2018.
